I have five large rescue fur babies that love to chew. I have looked for something they couldn’t destory in a few minutes. A wonderful customer service representative was kind enough to recommend me the extra large dawg dumbell. The service was great and finally they have a toy they love and something they can’t destory in a matter of minutes. One expecially loves it because she cannot run and play like the rest of them and she holds her head high and carries it where ever she goes. Thanks
My little terrier is a power chewer who can chew through just about anything but has not been able to destroy this one yet. She enjoys playing with it as well.
I have Boston Terriers that can tear up any chew toy out there. So I thought I would give the large dumbbell a try, and they love it! I figured they would just lay and chew on it but they carry it around like it's no problem. I would recommend this toy or any dog that is passionate about chewing or playing fetch! It definitely is a 10 + in my book. I will be ordering more of these for my gang.
I have gone through so many toys with my dog. The only one that has lasted. I got the XL for my 50lb dog because it's hard for her to fully get her teeth in it so she can't destroy it as quickly. She not only loves to chew on it and throw it around, but also loves to carry it around and use it as a pillow. She still hasn't destroyed it.
Our lab is a destructive chewer and had already gnawed right through several toys when Chopper & Otis was recommended to us. The Big Dawg Dumbbell (extra large size) was the first toy we bought, and he was an immediate fan. It is quite heavy, but the rubber bounces multiple times, even when tossed gently. He enjoys playing fetch and tug of war with it in addition to gnawing and pawing at it. It is easy to clean and its surface is appealingly smooth. Definitely recommend for power chewers.
