My 80 pond black lab/golden retriever mix loves his toy indestructible chew toy!
I rubbed liver sausage in the holes and my dog loved the challenge. She (45lbs) has chewed on it a lot but hasn’t done much damage, hasn’t been able to chew chunks off. For her, it’s a good toy 👍.
I was excited to try this toy. It's whimsical and solid, and our dog enjoyed licking it to get the peanut butter out. Because the product description said it was meant for power chewers, I let him chew on it after he finishing licking. It only lasted one session. The nylon material did not hold up to his determined gnawing on the tip of the pie. I had hoped to salvage it, but close inspection showed that bits of the nylon were flaking off. Our dog is a particularly destructive chewer, and we have discovered that nylon toys will not hold up to his urge to gnaw. That said, I hope to purchase one again once they become available; I think it will work well as a licking puzzle toy as long as we remove it once he begins to chew.
The holes in the lattice are perfect for jamming soft treats in and keeping my super chewer busy. It was purchased for my young chewer buy my two senior dogs love taking their turns as well
Once I found that this has small squares to fill instead of an open interior with a lattice on top, I knee my dog would love this as a frozen dispenser.
What a huge hit! She spent 18 minutes licking and manipulating her pie filled with frozen kefir. She is usually not interested in actually chewing on toys, but I was ecstatic to see her chewing on this for a bit afterwards (left no marks) and packing it around. ❤
Another bonus of the smaller square chambers is an easy way to keep calories low if using calorie dense foods.
I will likely be ordering more, so we can bone broth pies handy at any time!
Thank you so much for introducing this dispenser! We have a large collection!
